It's almost hard work, getting all these kickass photos of Aston Martins and Porsches and Morgans with Spitfires behind them together. Almost. But we did it for you, because you asked, or someone like you asked. So here we are: a bunch of your most-requested wallpapers, yours for the taking.
This Aston Martin Vanquish was shot in Michigan by Alex Kierstein for a story we ran just last week. He snapped this photo on a borrowed iPhone 6, so his story oughta answer any and all questions you have about the camera on the new iPhone, as well as the car.
These photos of the Local Motors Rally Fighter in the Nevada desert came from two recent Road & Track stories, "Powerslides and wide-eyed lucidity in the Local Motors Rally Fighter", and "Double Negative".
At the Paris Motor Show, Lamborghini design boss Filippo Perini did a styling breakdown of the spectacular Asterion concept for Road & Track readers. This much requested wallpaper is his quick sketch, showing us what went where.
Every now and then we get to have a weekend with a fun car and good company, just for the sake of the thing. Sometimes we bring our cameras along. That's what happened here, when I joined the Morgan West crew for a jaunt up the California coast to admire Spitfires and tour the So Cal Wing of the CAF in a 2014 Morgan 3 Wheeler.
California State Speedway Championship
This photo from the 2014 California State Speedway Championship is holding down my desktop. Apparently I need a reminder that somebody, somewhere, is doing something awesome and ballsy while I'm staring glassy-eyed at my monitor.
The Enfield in the Room
Among the weirder wallpaper requests we've had, this photo of the new Royal Enfield Continental GT tucked away for the night in my hotel room is from an upcoming story on riding California's best roads. It seemed like just a funny post at the time, but as soon as it hit Twitter folks asked if they could have a full res file for desktop duty.
This is more like it. One of my favorite shots by Zach Bowman for his piece on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X.
Another great Bowman image, this time of the 1.0-liter Ford Fiesta. The little Ford punches above it's weight, so much so that it inspired Zach to go out and buy a Fiesta of his own. Though, unsurprisingly, Bowman went and bought an ST as soon as he got to the lot.
