It weighs less and has more power than a Challenger Hellcat, but somehow it costs more and is slower. That’s the conundrum that is the Shelby Super Snake, as we found out.

Ford is yet to make a big horsepower version of the newest Mustang (we don’t count the sublime GT350 as a GT500 replacement), so the guys over at Shelby did what they do best: Add lots of power.


And on paper, this beast has 850 horsepower, which is nothing to sneeze at. But our testing found that there might be more to this car than the numbers, and not necessarily in a flattering way.
